The King Antique Mall has been in existence for a little over 12 years now. The shop began it’s life with the name “Yesterday’s Treasures”, but when Joy Tuttle bought it in 2006, she wanted to better reflect it’s personality, and changed the name to The King Antique Mall.
With 23 dealers under one roof, literally thousands of lovely antiques and collectibles from all over can be found in our extensive, ever-changing collection. One can spend many hours browsing the eclectic assortment to which our dealers frequently make additions. You never know what treasures you’ll find behind these doors; right now, pieces in the store include one-of-a-kind magnificent furniture pieces; formal to primitive. Rare pieces like pie safes, wardrobes, china cabinets, both painted and carved-wood rocking chairs, antique painted kitchen cabinets, wood ice boxes, southern pine corner cupboards, jelly cupboards, painted washstands, handmade quilts, primitive apple-green painted cabinets, pottery, glassware, framed folk art and paintings, old photographs, rare and collectible coins, vintage Lionel toy trains and costume jewelry.
We generally offer a wide variety of crocks and pottery; at any given time you’ll find examples of North Carolina ephemera, such as a stunning covered urn from BB Craig, or a rare 5-gallon Casper whiskey jug in near-perfect condition. Here’s another unusual item that came in just the other day – an antique wooden table organ in working condition.
